Update::JUST IN: Buhari Makes New Appointment President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Kabiru Bala as new High Commissioner to South Africa, with concurrent accreditation to Swaziland and Lesotho. A statement by Sarah Sanda, the Special Assistant on Media to Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, said this on Monday in Abuja. Ms Sanda stated that the minister presented letter of credence to the new ambassador on Monday in Abuja. She added that before his appointment, Mr Bala was Deputy High Commissioner to the UK. A career diplomat, Mr Bala joined the Foreign Service in 1999 and had at different times served in Brasilia, Sudan, The Gambia, Netherlands and Thailand. He also served in the State House, Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, as well State House Protocol. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mr Bala will replace Ahmed Ibeto, the former ambassador who resigned his appointment in July to join the Peoples Democratic Party.

Update:: BREAKING: President Buhari Cancels 5-Day 'Casual Leave,' SEE WHY President Muhammadu Buhari has cancelled his planned five-day “casual leave’’ as a mark of respect for victims of Boko Haram attacks across the battlefields in the Northeast zone of the country. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the President had planned to spend the casual leave at his home country, Daura, Katsina State from November 27 to December 2. The President had earlier cancelled his official trip to Benin City, Edo, where he was initially billed to inaugurate the Edo-Azura Power Plant and grace the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference. It was gathered that the advanced teams of the president, who left Abuja for Katsina and Benin on Sunday, had been asked to return. Update::'A 75-Year-Old Man Like President Buhari Can NOT Be Cloned'' - Professor of Human Genetics, Ajayi Boroffice Senator Ajayi Boroffice and President Muhammadu Buhari Senator Ajayi Boroffice who has a Ph.D in Human Genetics and currently represents Ondo North in the senate, on Monday released a statement, saying that there is no way in the world a 75-year-old man can be cloned. RecaIl that IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu and Former aviation minister Fem Fani Kayode have been peddling rumors that the man in the state house at the moment is a cloned man and not President buhari that was sworn in May 2015. Update::BBC Journalist Accuses Channels TV Of Editing Interview With Femi Adesina Channels TV has been accused of editing interview with Femi Adesina, just after the Presidential spokesperson got called out by BBC Journalist Anna Cunningham and AFP Journalist Phil Hazelwood. We reported yesterday that Femi Adesina who appeared as a guest on Channels TV, addressed the controversy surrounding the Metele Boko Haram attack which left over 100 Nigerian soldiers dead. Femi Adesina who is President Buhari’s senior special assistant on media and publicity stated that all over the world, the military does not or rarely disclose the figure of casualties. Update::' Asleep' pilot missed destination in Australia, officials say A small plane overshot its destination in Australia by almost 50km (30 miles) after its pilot fell asleep in the cockpit, air safety officials say. The pilot was the only person on board the freight flight from Devonport to King Island in Tasmania on 8 November. The incident, classified as a case of "incapacitation", is being investigated by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB). Officials have not said how the pilot awoke before landing the plane safely. The Piper PA-31 aircraft, operated by Vortex Air, had been due to complete the 240km trip at 07:15 local time. "During the cruise, the pilot fell asleep, resulting in the aircraft overflying King Island by 46 kilometres," the ATSB said in a brief statement.
