Toke Makinwa talks separation, divorce

Media personality and brand influencer Toke Makinwa on this episode of her vlog is discussing ‘Crimes of Passion’. Domestic violence is on the rise in homes and the rate at which spouses kill each other is appalling, like the recent case of Maryam Sanda who stabbed her hubby to death and was sentenced to death by hanging. Toke says no one goes into a relationship or marriage with the intention of coming out, but when things go south, it is usually better to take a walk instead of till death do you part like is being preached. Pandemonium as RRS headquarters gutted by fire

There was pandemonium on Wednesday as headquarters of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, at the Lagos State Government Secretariat, Alausa, in Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria was gutted by fire. The fire started around 11:40am, as smokes emanated from the roof of the one story building. Police officers with their guns ran out of the building as attempts were made to quench the fire to no avail. Several fire extinguishers were deployed to put out the fire, but it was after officers of the Lagos State Fire Service came that the fire was extinguished. However, not much damage was done to the building. The fire was said to have begun as a result of electrical surge in the building, leading to pandemonium as officers scampered to safety.

Davido’s “A Good Time” album goes platinum

Nigerian Afro-pop singer, David ‘Davido’ Adeleke’s sophomore album, “A Good Time” has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa three months after the project was released. The singer also received plaques for singles off his album which was released in November 2019. His song ‘Blow My Mind’ featuring Chris Brown was certified platinum while ‘Risky’ featuring Popcaan went double platinum. Risky crooner took to his Instagram page to celebrate his latest achievement, sharing a video of him receiving his plaques to his 15million followers. ”A Good Time” which dropped on November 22nd, 2019, featured seventeen tracks, with ten of the songs being solo works of Davido, while the other seven were collaborative efforts with a rich selection of local and international talents.
