Foreign News::::: US Couple Chased With Machetes In Nairobi

A couple from Utah, United States, was on Friday attacked by three Kenyan men with one wielding a machete during a fitness tour along a rough road in Nairobi. According to a video posted on their social media account, the two, Lauren and Bryant Swenson, did not have enough time to react after they came across a matatu parked along that road. In a report by US media, the two had taken the rough road as a shortcut to bypass a highway snarl up in one of the city’s major roads While the four occupants of the vehicle approached the parked Public Service Vehicle (PSV), it slowly started moving revealing the three armed men. The three then started running towards their vehicle. Two Kenyans who were on the passengers' back seats, seeing how serious the situation was, then directed the driver to keep moving. Report shows the protest is taking place at the lobby of the Senate amid heavy security. The protesting staffers bear banners with the inscription: ‘enough is enough. ‘the Clerk to the National Assembly has suddenly become stupendous’. The protesters were also singing: “Sani Omolori, juju de fail’, ‘Ole’ (Sani Omolori, charms fail, you are a thief) as they moved round the balcony to the chambers. Sani Omolori is the Clerk to the National Assembly.

Update:: In a video making rounds on social media, Small Doctor and his crew were all told to lay down on the floor as the police arrested them. The incident which happened at the popular Oshodi expressway saw men of the Nigeria Police Force trying to disarm the singer. Also in the video, you can see an obviously shocked and injured Small Doctor surrendering to the fully armed police officers. The police on Monday in Lagos said they had arrested a popular musician, Adekunle Temitope, a.k.a Small Doctor, and three others for alleged unlawful possession of fireman. Update:: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Nigeria and Federation of Russia have signed a treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters. The Ministry’s Spokesperson George Edokpa said this in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday in Abuja. Update:: The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Adekunle Temitope, popularly known as Small Doctor, for unlawful possession of firearms and for allegedly threatening to shoot a police officer. Edgal Imohimi, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, revealed this to the press on Monday while parading the musician along with three other persons. Four held for robbing victim of N3m, burning him in car trunk A building that served as a bar along the Upper Sokponba road, Benin City, Edo State, has been set ablaze by a mob over the death of an artisan simply identified as Elvis.Elvis had been engaged to do some work at the bar when he was electrocuted. According to eyewitnesses, Elvis climbed the ceiling to fix something when somebody switched on the generating set and he was electrocuted. He was pronounced dead at the hospital where he was rushed to.A relative of the deceased who pleaded anonymity said the building was set ablaze because youths in the area suspected the death was not ordinary.
