Update:: The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has criticised President Buhari for refusing to sign the Electoral Bill into law. Buhari, in a letter to the National Assembly on Thursday, December 6, 2018, declined assent to the bill. Top sources in the NYSC who spoke to a Punch correspondent, disclosed that management of NYSC cancelled Davido’s service year for “absconding” from the camp during the orientation camp and this reportedly brought to an end his participation in the 2018 Batch ‘B’ Stream II in Lagos State, where he had been posted. Update:: ’Femi Asu Axxela Limited, a Nigerian gas and power portfolio company, has signed a Gas Transportation Agreement with the West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited to transport over 15 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas via the West African Gas Pipeline to Lome, Togo. The Chief Executive Officer, Axxela, Bolaji Osunsanya, was quoted as saying at the signing ceremony in Accra, Ghana, “The partnership between Axxela, WAPCo, and the West African Gas Pipeline Authority, portends major benefits for the West African gas markets.” He said, according to a statement, that the flow of new molecules beyond the existing foundation contracts would diversify gas supply sources into the WAGP. Update::  A petrol tanker has exploded at Forte Oil filling station located very close to the local airport in Lagos State. Sources from the airport confirmed this to Channels Television on Friday shortly after the incident occurred. The explosion which occurred when the tanker was discharging its contents has resulted in a massive blaze at the facility. Channels Television aviation correspondent said officials of the fire services have moved in to contain the inferno. However, it is yet to be ascertained if there are casualties as a result of the incident. The airport itself, just across the road, has not been affected by the fire. Update:: American video vixen and model, Symba has narrated how a hotel cleaner in the Lekki area of Lagos State recently stole her panties including that of her friend. This is happening amid rumours of female panties being utilized by internet fraudsters popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ for money-making rituals. Update:: A US woman has accused Nigerian musician Runtown of conning her of $124, 000 (Ksh12.4 million). Shawn Rene recently took to social media to post receipts, screenshots and a video to back up her claim .[Click here to like and follow us on Facebook] Runtown has, however, come out to refute Ms Rene’s allegations. In a statement released by his management, Runtown says:  “Our attention has been drawn to reports circulating on social media by a US-based woman named, Shawn Rene accusing our artist, Runtown, of fraud. It’s all lies and an attempt to blackmail and tarnish our image. “We have contacted the Nigerian security agencies including the DSS and EFCC who are all on the matter at the moment and preliminary investigations already reveals that it’s a group of impostors who may have duped ‘Sawhn Rene’ using Runtown’s name. Runtown has never and will never defraud anyone,”  reads the statement.

Update:: Management of Ebonyi state University (EBSU) on Thursday said it has sacked 63  lecturers for various infringements. Among the infringements include alleged certificate forgeries, sexual harassment and extortion. Public Relations Officer of the University, Patrick Itumo confirmed the sack to The Nation. He noted that some of the people sacked were adjunct lecturers of the school who have over stayed in the university. According to him, most of the staff sacked were said to have obtained their West African School Certificate Examination (WAEC) before their First School Leaving Certificate. They were also said to have falsified their age certificates and other relevant credentials. The spokesman said the sack followed audit report submitted by a committee set up to verify credentials of workers of the institution. Update:: The spokesman for the House of Representatives, Abdulrazak Namdas, has denied claims that Reps members were collating signatures to impeach the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo. Namdas told journalists on Wednesday that he is not aware of such process in the House. According to him, “There is nothing like impeachment before the House of Representatives as I speak now. “As far as I am concerned, I speak for the House, and there is nothing like impeachment before the House for consideration. Update:: The Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has said the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole needs to learn how to talk in a way that will dignify the party.
