News::::Kechi Okwuchi remembers friends who died in Sosoliso crash

On December 10, 2005, Nigerians all over the world were shocked at the news of Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 plane crash. The accident led to the death of 107 passengers, including female preacher, pastor Bimbo Odukoya as well as some students going on a school trip.
The ill-fated plane left only two survivors, one of whom is 29-year-old Kechi Okwuchi. She happened to be one of the school students on the flight and she was 16 at the time.
Kechi has become an icon for many people as her life story has inspired a number of people. Recently, she took to her Twitter handle to remember her friends that she lost on the flight 13 years ago.
She tweeted:
“To the dearly departed of Dec 10 2005, to the 60 angels, many of whom were dear friends, I want you to know I am doing my very best to keep my promise to you all, to live this gift of life in a way that will best honor your memories & honor the Lord. ❤️.”
Life as she knew it, changed for Kechi 13 years ago, but she has managed to overcome every challenge and lead a good life while chasing her passion for music and even giving motivational speeches among other things.
She was a finalist on the 12th edition of talent discovery show, America’s Got Talent. This is a great feat seeing as she was able to confidently perform on a big stage despite her scars.
Kechi who has successfully undergone over 100 surgeries on her body revealed that she doesn't mind doing more surgeries if it means improving her health.
She said: “The way things are right now, I am in a place where if there are more surgeries that would benefit me by improving any functions that I am having issues with, I am open to such. I have no problems with undergoing various surgeries but if I have to live my life this way, then I am ready.”
